Two new employees take a new step forward and talk about their aspirations and challenges in the IT industry

We spoke to these two people who have just entered the IT industry about their journey so far, what they are currently learning, and their goals for the future. Although they have different backgrounds, they both jumped into this industry with a strong desire to grow. We will share their real voices.

Reasons for choosing the IT industry

Mimura decided to change careers from the customer service industry. He originally attended an IT vocational school, but after graduating he worked in the customer service industry, and after thinking about his future he decided to return to the IT industry.

"I regret having learned something as a student, and now I thought I could give it another go."

Son studied IT when he was a student and decided to work for a Japanese IT company. He left his country and first mastered the Japanese language while working in Japan. He then jumped into the IT industry as a new graduate.

Learning and realizations at school

Both of them went to IT school and are now working in the field. Although they have some IT knowledge from their school days, they both learned a lot from their first experience.

He said that during the first month, he had some difficulty understanding the specific vocabulary of the programming language, but as he got his hands dirty and progressed with the development, the knowledge he had gained gradually began to make sense and it started to become fun.

Mr. Mimura also gained experience in bringing together members as a development team leader.

"We divided up the functions we needed to create and worked on them individually. I learned that it was very important to listen carefully to what each person wanted to create."

Mr. Son also told us that he was mainly in charge of following up with the other members, and that he made an effort to communicate in easy-to-understand Japanese by putting himself in their shoes and trying to understand what they were saying.

The experience at the school seems to have given them many insights not only into technical skills but also into communication aspects such as "how to learn" and "how to convey."

Impressions of the company after joining

We also asked him about his impressions of the company after actually joining.

"I decided to join the company because I was attracted by the fact that the website said that there were a lot of events and study sessions, and in reality, this was true."

There are drinking parties, puzzle-solving events, study sessions and other events within the company, and employees seem to feel that the interaction that transcends the boundaries between seniors and juniors leads to a sense of security and motivation.

Future goals and expectations

Finally, when asked about their future goals, both said, "I want to continue learning more about IT technology," and "I want to value not only my technical skills but also how I interact with my team."

He also said, "If there's anything I want to try in the future, I'd like to proactively take on the challenge."

At FootbankSystems, we actively support skill development and provide learning opportunities, so we hope you will take advantage of these systems to continue to grow!

Conclusion

These two new employees come from different backgrounds. Their words conveyed the importance of a learning attitude and the way they grow through interactions with those around them. I'm looking forward to seeing how they will expand their horizons in the future!
